As of this time (early May), some states and regions of our country are starting to reopen the economy that has been closed due to the coronavirus. Our governor, along with the PA Department of Health, is opening the economy in stages, and region by region. Due to the nature of a dental visit (open mouths, no masks possible on patients), it is considered to have a higher risk of exposure or spread of the virus than things like a haircut or shopping, where masks can be worn the entire time. At this time, only emergency dentistry is allowed in our region.
As more information is provided by the state, I will update this section. No date for reopening has yet been released for Montgomery County. I will obviously abide by any new regulations in order to provide care that is both high quality and as safe as possible. Once we have more information from the state on when we will be allowed to open, we will begin to reschedule our patients. Priority will be given to anyone who has experienced dental issues during the closure, or who has dental work that was started and not yet finished. Dental cleanings and check up visits may be delayed due to the large number of patients that were cancelled and need to be rescheduled.
Thank you to everyone for your patience!
