COVID-19 Update

Dear Wahlers Family Dentistry Patients,

As of this time (early May), some states and regions of our country are starting to reopen the economy that has been closed due to the coronavirus. Our governor, along with the PA Department of Health, is opening the economy in stages, and region by region.  Due to the nature of a dental visit (open mouths, no masks possible on patients), it is considered to have a higher risk of exposure or spread of the virus than things like a haircut or shopping, where masks can be worn the entire time.  At this time, only emergency dentistry is allowed in our region.

As more information is provided by the state, I will update this section.  No date for reopening has yet been released for Montgomery County.  I will obviously abide by any new regulations in order to provide care that is both high quality and as safe as possible. Once we have more information from the state on when we will be allowed to open, we will begin to reschedule our patients. Priority will be given to anyone who has experienced dental issues during the closure, or who has dental work that was started and not yet finished.  Dental cleanings and check up visits may be delayed due to the large number of patients that were cancelled and need to be rescheduled.

Thank you to everyone for your patience!

If you have any questions about this closure or anything related to your care, feel free to email me at [email protected]  True dental emergencies please call our office and listen to the message for instructions on how to contact me.

In response to the ADA and Pennsylvania Department of Health recommendations regarding the COVID-19 virus, our office will be temporarily closed until further notice. We will continue to check messages and respond to emails during this time. Current patients of record with a dental emergency will be able to speak with Dr. Wahlers by phone (call the office and listen to the recorded message) and may be seen depending upon the circumstances. New and existing patients are also welcome to call or email to schedule future appointments. Thank you so much for your understanding.
