We are proud to announce that we have recently upgraded our panoramic X-ray machine to a new digital unit. This allows for less radiation and more accurate images than was previously possible. A panoramic, or Panorex, radiograph offers us a view of your teeth, bones, sinuses and allows us to find any abnormalities in these structures. It can also be used to help us determine the best treatments for your mouth. This type of x-ray image is taken about once every five years on most patients, although this varies depending upon individual patient needs. Additionally, for patients who are unable to have the smaller sensors placed in their mouths due to gagging issues, this machine allows us to take Xrays without placing anything in your mouth! Digital X-rays have become the industry standard and we are proud to offer the safest, most modern equipment available today.
